IOSH Managing Safely Refresher
Accredited one day public or In-company course
The Managing Safely Refresher course is designed to provide continued support to managers in dealing with health and safety issues in the workplace. Specifically the course aims to:
Revise key management responsibilities from the original Managing Safely course
Update relevant changes in good practice, guidance, legislation and standards
At the end of the course each delegate should be able to:
Recall the key elements addressed in IOSH Managing Safely
Outline the 6 stages of Successful Safety Management set out in HSG65
Develop a positive Safety Culture
Detail any recent changes to health and safety legislation
Reiterate the general principles of risk assessment and risk control
Prepare and use appropriate active monitoring techniques
Conduct adequate investigations of accidents
Please note that IOSH will only issue certificates on successful completion to attendees who have gained the full IOSH Managing Safely award within the past three years.
