Risk and the Pregnant Worker

One day In-company programme

This one day course is designed to enable both:

• nominated risk assessors; and
• those who might manage such employees; to fully and effectively discharge their responsibilities regarding pregnant workers.

At the end of the programme each delegate should be able to:

• Discuss the criminal legal environment relating to pregnant workers
• Discuss the civil law implications relating to pregnant workers
• Describe the special nature of the hazards and risks faces by pregnant workers
• Perform suitable and sufficient general risk assessments with regard to the workplace and nature of work undertaken by a pregnant worker
• Identify when specific risk assessments may be required
• Make recommendations for control proportional to any identified risks to the pregnant worker
