The aim of this course is to provide managers and supervisors of confined space work with a thorough understanding of the health and safety requirements specific to this high risk area of work.
At the end of the programme each delegate should be able to:
- Outline the legal requirements specific to confined space work
- Identify limitations and weaknesses in human behaviour which may lead to accidents in confined spaces
- Classify those areas within the company that would constitute a confined space
- Outline the risks associated with confined space work
- Select appropriate risk reduction control measures
- Identify the main elements of safe systems of work
